Fire equipment is needed in many countries to help keep fires tame and to help protect firefighters from the dangers of their jobs. Many local fire stations get new equipment and find themselves with used equipment that no longer has a purpose. This equipment could be of vast use for countries that don't easily have access to fire equipment or the funds to get equipment.
Midwest Mission created a flyer with our information and needs. This flyer can be given to a local fire station, church, or group that may be interested to help or have donations to contribute.
Midwest Mission sent a firetruck (valued at $46,500) to Guatemala through our partner Food for the Poor. This firetruck is used to put out house fires but also wild fires that Guatemala regularly encounters. With the help of the firetruck and and fire fighters, thousands of acres have been saved from wildfires and house fires this past year!
