Brick-by-Brick We Expand Our Impact
By the grace of God and through your generosity, Midwest Mission is growing. Over the past two years, our operations have more than doubled, fueled by your passion and support to provide tangible resources that transform lives both around the world and around the corner. As more individuals feel called to serve, we are committed to building a safe and welcoming space for them to transform more resources. But that growth requires investment.
Our goal is simple: engage more volunteers and increase the flow of resources that bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to those who lack basic necessities.
To meet growing demand, we are prioritizing the following projects:
Desk Shop Expansion
= $10,000
Currently, volunteers serving in the Wood and Poly Shops must move between multiple levels, often working in areas with limited ventilation and increased forklift traffic. To enhance both safety and productivity, Midwest Mission plans to expand the workshop to ground level, creating a more efficient and secure environment for volunteers while increasing overall output.
By consolidating operations on one level, we will:
-
Improve safety conditions
-
Expand volunteer capacity and efficiency
-
Increase the production of School Desks
This new layout will also allow us to add warehouse storage above the new additions and convert the current workspace into much-needed office space.

The impact of this expansion is significant. Midwest Mission is one of the few organizations dedicated to producing school desks for communities in need. Our partner, Food for the Poor, is currently constructing one school per month in Honduras, with each school serving approximately 90 students. By increasing our production capacity, we can help ensure these classrooms are equipped with the essential resources students need to learn and thrive.
Bike Shop Carport
= $15,000
Currently, Bike Shop volunteers make the most of limited space to organize and pre-stage refurbished bicycles, often at the expense of valuable warehouse capacity. To address this, we will construct a 20' x 45' carport adjacent to the bike shop, creating a dedicated staging area that improves organization and streamlines the shipping process.
This will:
-
Free up critical loading dock space and maximize container capacity
-
Improve organization and workflow for bike shop volunteers
-
Increase the number of bikes prepared for shipment
-
Keep bikes covered and in better condition for recipients

By creating a dedicated space for completed bikes, this project allows more bicycles to move efficiently from our hands into the hands of those who need them most. Each bike represents more than transportation—it’s a pathway to school, a reliable way to get to work, and a connection to essential care. Expanding our capacity means expanding opportunity, one bike at a time.
Iowa Garage Addition
= $75,000
Our Iowa location is expanding rapidly. Increased donations bring more year-round unloading, and a growing number of off-site mission events means more loading — and weather is not always cooperative.
To address this, we will add a covered area to the Iowa building to protect volunteers from the elements and improve safety to keep operations moving year-round. As well as replace the water heater and overhead loading dock door.
Covered loading will allow us to:
-
Enable safe operations protected from snow, ice, and rain
-
Allow for forklift use during unloading
-
Increase storage and staging capacity
-
Improve organization and flow of materials

This addition will protect volunteers, keep operations running in all weather, and improve the flow of materials. With safer, more efficient loading and increased capacity, we can move resources more consistently and reach more people in need.
YOU CAN HELP EXPAND THE MISSION
Every improvement increases our return on investment. In 2025, every $1 donated resulted in $4 of relief distributed, and these upgrades will only strengthen that ratio. Your gift today helps welcome more volunteers, increase production and safety, deliver more relief to those in need, and, ultimately, transform lives in Christ's name!
GIVE TODAY. TRANSFORM TOMORROW.
