3 Shipments in One Week!

October 24th, 2025 Newsletter

The Lord continues to provide, and we are so grateful. Thank you for praying that containers would continue to be available — He is answering those prayers!

As needs arise around the world, each shipment leaving Midwest Mission is an answered prayer — getting essential resources into the hands of people who need them most.

We all see the brokenness in our world — on the news, on social media, and in everyday conversations. But in the midst of it all, there is still so much good. There are so many people, like you, who give their time to serve, share their resources to meet needs, and use their skills to transform lives.

Every shipment that leaves our warehouse is filled with items packed with love, assembled with joy, and refurbished in hope — hope that someone’s tomorrow will be brighter.

This week, we were blessed to see three shipments head out!

Shipment #1: Ukraine

As the effects of war continue to be deeply felt across Ukraine and neighboring regions, the need for supplies remains great. Our partner, Northstar Foundation, reached out earlier this month requesting a shipment — the first full container we’ve sent to Ukraine this year.

On Monday, October 20, the truck arrived, and our Operations Team got to work loading the container with urgently needed items including:

  • 5,040 Personal Dignity Kits

  • 16,800 Rice and Soy Blessing Bags that will feed 100,800 people in Ukraine!

  • 2,800 Student Kits

  • 4,600 Hospital gowns

  • Miscellaneous hygiene supplies

Value: $177,450.00

Shipment #2: Guatemala

Our second shipment went to Guatemala through our partner Food For The Poor, as part of their Angels of Hope program serving children’s homes across the country.

This container included:

  • 540 Home Care Kits

  • 280 Personal Dignity Kits

  • 162 Bed Packs

  • 42 Cover Them With Love Quilts

  • 6 Mattresses

  • Scrubber sponges

The value of this shipment was $33,538

Shipment #3: Guyana

The final shipment of the week went to Guyana, also through Food For The Poor.

It included:

  • 9,600 Rice and Soy Blessing Bags

  • 156 Layette Kits

  • 560 Personal Dignity Kits

  • 510 Little Boys and Girls Outfits

  • 63 Cover Them With Love Quilts

  • 40 Wheelchairs

  • 24 Mattresses

  • 16 Electric sewing machines

  • 5 Treadle sewing machines

  • Fabric

  • Disposable diapers

  • Other medical supplies

Value: $170,055.30

Each shipment carries a calculated dollar amount — but the true value is priceless.

Every item has the power to change a life:

  • A treadle sewing machine helps someone earn an income for their family.

  • A Rice and Soy Blessing Bag gives the strength to work and provide for loved ones.

  • A Personal Dignity Kit offers a child their very first sense of ownership and care.

  • A wheelchair restores independence and dignity to someone who’s been waiting for both.

These aren’t just items. And it’s never “just another shipment.” It’s life-change. It’s love in action. It’s you — being the hands and feet of Jesus, showing God’s love in a practical way to people you may never meet.

This is Midwest Mission.
