February 13th, 2026 Newsletter
On Tuesday, February 12, Midwest Mission sent our third international shipment of the year—this time to Callao, Peru.
This shipment is made possible through our partnership with Food For The Poor, who helps coordinate logistics and works closely with trusted, in-country partners to ensure every item sent is specifically requested and urgently needed. At Midwest Mission, we never ship supplies without confirmation from our partners. These relationships are essential to making sure resources are distributed thoughtfully, efficiently, and with dignity.
Peru, located in South America, has more than half of its population living in areas vulnerable to natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes.Â
Although Midwest Mission has worked in Peru before, this is a country where our partnership is expanding. Food For The Poor began serving in Peru in 2022 alongside their in-country partner, Caritas del Peru. As their projects expand, so do the opportunities to meet the needs of the communities they serve.
Just last week, a Basic Utility Vehicle was shipped to support ministry efforts there. Now, this latest container is filled with supplies that will bring comfort, mobility, and opportunity to families across the country, including:
50 Mattresses
50 Bed Packs
30 Bicycles
13 Electric Sewing Machines
6 Treadle Sewing Machines
15 Wheelchairs
264 Walkers
Orthopedic boots, splints, and braces
Children’s outfits
Total value: $44,064
Each item represents more than a number. A mattress means restful sleep. A wheelchair or walker restores mobility and independence. A sewing machine creates an opportunity for income and self-sufficiency. Because of your generosity and faithful partnerships, hope is on its way to Peru.
2025 Recap Video
2025 was a huge year — and that was because of YOU! Your prayers, donations, volunteer hours, support, and more made it possible to reach 3.7 million people around the world and around the corner, providing life-transforming items to people in need.Â
We’ve made a video that recaps the year, and gives a snapshot of all the hope and empowerment you sent.Â
We’d love for you to share this video with friends, show it during your Sunday service, or send it to someone you want to get involved with Midwest Mission!

It was written to be used with assembling Midwest Mission Personal Dignity Kits — designed to take participants through scriptures that address the themes of Lent; Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving along with addressing the ways in which Jesus’ journey to the cross was a way to restore Personal Dignity for us all.You can download the Study here.
