First Shipment to Haiti in Over 1 Year

October 3, 2025 Newsletter

This was an exciting week — we celebrated two more shipments going out to people in need! Shipment days are the best days, because we get to see the culmination of all of your hard work leaving the building … one step closer to being in the hands of people who need it most.

The first shipment went to Haiti. This is the second recent shipment to Haiti, which is especially exciting because we hadn’t been able to ship there since last September.

The operations team loaded:

  • 20 Bikes

  • 15 Electric Sewing Machines

  • 6 Treadle Machines

  • 790 Blankets

  • 50,000 Food Handling Gloves

  • 270 Bed Sheets

  • 140 Cover Them With Love Quilts

  • 280 Feminine Hygiene Kits

  • 156 Layette Kits

  • 560 Personal Dignity Kits

  • 23 Canes

  • 56,000 Pairs of Rubber Exam Gloves

  • 40 Walkers

  • Medical Supplies

  • Sewing Items

  • Tools

This shipment also included 6,000 Rice and Soy Blessing Bags — many of which were packed just last week by the 300 volunteers who participated at the Blessing Bag Pack hosted at Midwest Mission!

The value of this shipment was $168,028.80.

We thank God for the opportunity to ship items that are desperately needed in Haiti. Please be praying that doors (and ports) continue to open, so that more people can receive hope and empowerment in the form of Kits, meals, and supplies.

The second shipment was sent to San Pedro Sula, Honduras on Thursday, October 2.

This shipment contained:

  • 64 Wheelchairs

  • 108 Jr. School Desks

  • 1,960 School Kits

  • 40 Twin Hospital Bed Mattresses

  • 10,800 Blessing Bags

  • 50,000 Food Handling Gloves

  • Tools

  • School Supplies

The value of this shipment was $130,808.00.

Thank you to everyone who gave of their time, treasures, and prayers to make these shipments happen!

Thank You for a Great Serving September!

Through the month of September, we celebrated "Serving September" — a month to experience the joy that comes from serving.

So many of you joined us in celebrating right where you were — countless churches, families, and clubs joyfully collected needed items, assembled Kits, made meals, and so much more!

We also have great news. Our goal was to assemble 2,500 Student Kits to help prepare what we will need to send at the end of this year. As of yesterday, we have assembled over 4,500 Student Kits! And that is just the total of what has come in to Midwest Mission and what has been made at Midwest Mission. We know there is so much more!

If you made Student Kits for Serving September, would you take the time to fill out this form to let us know?

We want to count all of the Student Kits that were made, even if they haven't made it to Midwest Mission yet.

We loved hearing all of your stories — and if you haven't shared yours yet, now is the time!

Email mallory@midwestmission.org with your story and photos — we'd love to showcase all the great missional joy that was shared during Serving September.
