International Shipments 66 & 67 Sent Out!

December 5th, 2025 Newsletter

We have exciting news…

drumroll please

We have officially DOUBLED the amount of international shipments we sent last year!

In 2024, Midwest Mission sent out 33 international shipments. Each one made a big impact in the lives of recipients. But, as we entered into 2025, we knew we had to dream bigger. We made the goal of sending 50 international shipments — more than we’d ever done before. But, in the words of volunteer leader, Howard Orndorff, who was present for the two shipments this week, “It’s funny what happens when you tell God you have a goal. He laughs and surpasses our human goal in leaps and bounds.”

Isn’t that so true!

God took our goal of 50 shipments, and has now turned it into 67 — and we still have at least one more that will go out this year before our partners stop shipping for the holidays. The first shipment of the week went out on Monday, December 1. This was an Angels of Hope shipment that was shipped to Honduras.

It included:

480 Home Care Kits

280 Personal Dignity Kits

6 Mattresses

6 Bed Packs

42 Cover Them With Love Quilts

Scrubber sponges

Value: $41,680.00

The second shipment was sent on Thursday, December 4th. This was a race to the finish, as volunteers on Wednesday assembled as many Bed Packs as possible to make enough for the shipment to Jamaica! This was our third shipment of disaster relief following Hurricane Melissa’s devastation on the island. Because so many of you have sent requested supplies, donated funds, and prayed for the situation, we can continually respond to this ongoing disaster.

This container included:

12,000 Rice and Soy Blessing Bags that will feed 72,000 people

80 Mattresses

80 Bed Packs

81 Sleeping Mats

420 Home Care Kits

Value: $48,225.00

The crisis is far from over. Over a million people were affected by the hurricane in Jamaica alone. The recovery will take months — and even years. And we are grateful to be in the position to continue helping as long as requests are made.

We have another shipment to Jamaica planned next week.

The more supplies we send out, the more we need to restock, so we are able to fulfill future requests! You can help provide supplies by sending the requested items (see our current needs) or by making a monetary donation to our Hurricane Relief fund. 100% of your donation will go towards purchasing supplies that will be sent, or that will replenish what has been sent.

A Basic Utility Vehicle will be Sent to Peru Because of YOU!

This past Tuesday was Giving Tuesday. Every year, we pause to celebrate generosity in the midst of the holiday season.

Because of your generosity, one Basic Utility Vehicle (BUV) will soon be on its way to empower cacao farmers in Peru. This is more than just a piece of equipment. It’s a tool that will help farmers tend their fields more efficiently, transport their harvest, access markets, and ultimately provide more sustainability for their community.

At Midwest Mission, we often say that what we do would not be possible without faithful partners like you—and this is a beautiful example of that truth in action. You saw a need, you stepped forward, and a life-changing solution is now becoming reality.

And the story isn’t over.

Through our trusted partner, Food For The Poor, we have received at least three additional requests for BUVs, including urgent needs in Honduras. These requests come from farming communities just like the one in Peru—hardworking families who are eager to grow, eager to provide, and eager for the tools that will help them succeed.

You’ve already sent one BUV. Now we’re praying and believing for two more.

As we continue this initiative, we invite you to keep walking alongside us. Your continued generosity has the power to lift more families, strengthen more communities, and extend even more hope around the world.

From all of us at Midwest Mission, thank you for making Giving Tuesday more than a day of generosity—thank you for making it a launching point for lasting impact.
