REYOAD Campers Bring Hope One Kit at a Time!

In June of this year, over 100 campers and volunteers gathered at Camp REYOAD to assemble Student Kits and Personal Dignity Kits. The staff guided the campers through the process, teaching them the purpose of the kits, how to put them together, where they would be sent, and how deeply they would be appreciated by those who receive them.

All of the campers are adults (18 years and older) who are differently-abled. Together, the REYOAD campers assembled 50 Student Kits and 50 Personal Dignity Kits! Each camper signed their name on a prayer card and took their turn learning how to build the kits. While some needed a little extra help from staff members, everyone contributed in a meaningful way.

At first, the group wasn’t sure how they would secure the funding to make the project possible. The desire to serve was strong, but the financial resources just weren’t there. But God made a way, bringing together the right people, churches, and donors to provide the support they needed. To God be all the glory!

This project was a huge hit with the staff, volunteers, and especially the campers. It was such a powerful experience that they’re already hoping to do it again next year!

A huge thank you to the campers and staff at Camp REYOAD for coming together and making this happen. Because of your work, you’ve brought hope, dignity, and empowerment to people all around the world. You’ve made a difference, and for that, we say thank you!
