Sending Hurricane Relief to Jamaica
Help send hope in the form of needed supplies to those affected by Hurricane Melissa.
Our online giving provider is currently having an outage. If you'd like to give online, please email mallory@midwestmission.org.
Otherwise, you can send a check to 1001 Mission Dr, Pawnee, IL 62558 with "Hurricane Relief" in the memo.
Hurricane Melissa
Midwest Mission is preparing to respond to Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm expected to make landfall in Jamaica on Tuesday, October 28. With 175 mph winds, 40 inches of rain, and 13-foot storm surges, this could be one of the most destructive hurricanes in Atlantic history.

The storm is expected to cause widespread devastation — flooding communities, destroying homes, and cutting off electricity across the island.

Midwest Mission's Response
Midwest Mission is partnering with Food For The Poor, who is already on the ground in Jamaica, to send immediate relief.
We are preparing a shipment of:
-
Student Kits
-
Tarps
-
Disposable Diapers
-
Bed Packs
-
Mattresses
A truck will depart later this week for Miami, where supplies will be shipped as soon as it is safe to travel.
This is likely the first of many shipments to aid in the disaster relief efforts.
